10 REAL Reasons Why Girls In Boots Are Sexier Than Girls In Heels

Yes, y'all I saw the 9 reasons we are sexier in boots than heels and here is the Boot Babe's NO BS version! I giggled at the other one and some points were valid, and the others were hogwash.  Let's keep things real and get on with MY take! Let me know if you agree!

Here is what they said, and the first things I thought when I read it.

9. It shows off her creativity. 

Maybe I can give them this one.  

8. She can hang with the guys.You won’t have to babysit this girl when you bring her out with your friends.

Umm, ain't none of us wearing boots to hang with the guys and ain't nobody babysitting a Boot Babe!

7. She’s laid-back.

Maybe, just because we wear boots, we are not ALL ALWAYS ready to go to a bonfire and play in the mud. We is some sophisticated Boot Babes 'round here y'all!

5. She probably likes country music. 

First, they can't count and skipped 6. Second, naaa.  I think it is safe to say a girl in boots can listen to anything she pleases and won't appreciate being put in the "country" box.  Besides, Red Dirt is more than country! 

4. They know how to drink.

Some, ok lots but don't y'all know just as many Babes that wear their boots to church?  Boots don't make us lushes y'all!

3. They’re low maintenance.

Can I get a BIG FAT HELL NO. We are absolutely NOT low maintenance.  We might get dirty and work hard but LOW MAINTENANCE is NOT US!

2. She will make a great girlfriend or wife.

Yeah, ok we are BAD ASSED BOOT BABES, the question is, IS HE TOUGH ENOUGH TO HANDLE A BOOT BABE?

1. THEY’RE FUN.

Yes. Yes we know how to have fun but we dang sure ain't that "For a good time call a Boot Babe chick". Nope. We have standards, just like Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers...well some of y'all might not like real country but some Boot Babes will get this!

10. We are comfortable in boots! Yep. We are all more comfortable in boots and let's face it Boot Babes, if we ain't comfortable, we ain't happy!

9. We don't give a rip about what anyone else thinks. We dress for us, our personalities and embrace our style! Creativity and being true to ourselves is real sexy Babes! 

8. We can do it all for ourselves in our boots! We don't dress to impress other gals and dang sure no man.  We think for ourselves too and that is always sexy!

7. We don't take life overly seriously! We realize there are serious moments but that with our boots and Boot Babes that we can get through anything.  They might not be what anyone else is wearing in the room but we are and we are looking good doing it!  Who says you NEED heels to go to the office?! We know better and our self confidence shows that off!

6. We are ready for anything! You name it, we have boots for it!  We never say we can't because of our shoe choice. Nope, have boots, will travel!  We do it all and we do it all in Boot Babe style!

5. We do not put ourselves in a box! We are multifaceted.  We are not just country but a little of everything Boot Babes! Boot Babes being a mix of country, rock n' roll and, all sorts of soul is super sexy!

4. We don't wobble when we drink in boots!   We swagger, not stagger!  Heeled honeys can't say the same now can they?  This is why boots are sexier drinkin' shoes! 

3. We are high maintenance! We know our value, our worth, and ohhh Babes do we ever own it!  No one can sell us short! If you want to know how much a Boot Babe values herself, look at her feet!  Knowing your worth might scare many a feller because every now and again, but Boot Babes, we know it and let our boots show it! Putting yourself first every now and again is VERY sexy Babes! We are always worth it!

Shop small. We all hear it so much these days Boot Babes but do we really stop to think about what it does and the impact it has?  It really is a game changer when you commit to shopping small Babes. Let me give you some reasons why:

1. Shopping small gives you the best customer service! You get better service because for the most part, small businesses KNOW they need each sale and each customer to be happy and to become a repeat customer. They are more hands on, more attentive, and able to help you without asking corporate. They will always WANT to make it right for you! Similarly if there ever is an issue, you do not have send and email and wait. You can get straight answers quickly from small businesses.

2. You have input! Have you ever been at a store and wished the store carried something different? When you shop small, you often get to talk to the buyer, manager, owner, and clerk all in one so they will listen to you.  Your input helps you get what you want to buy and helps them know how they can improve your experience. Shopping small allows you to somewhat tailor your favorite stores to what you want by sharing that with the store.  

3. You feel better! There is a sense of uggh for many of us Boot Babes when we fork over money to big stores that we know we do not make a difference to.  When we give our money to a small business, we know we are keeping their lights on, families fed, and our money is making a visible difference.  Only shopping small can give us the peace of knowing WHERE we spend our hard earned money matters and makes a difference!

Boot Store Dreams!

Well y'all, we might just have tendencies and a hankerin' to turn our closets into a the Boots n' Rags showroom.  With that comes a couple of issues, with storage being a big one. Boot Babes, do you ever wonder HOW on Earth you should store your boots that you have collected from the great sales? Yeah, me too.  It has taken lots of research on this here topic and I am here to give y'all the skinny on what I have found to be the best tips and tricks out there on the subject!

First, remember Boot Babes, leather is a skin, just like yours and mine. Remembering this is verrry verrry important when looking at how boots need to be stored.  The skin needs to breathe, it needs to be away from as much direct light as possible to prevent color changes, it needs to be kept from excess humidity, and from touching another boot.

You will hate me, many of you will disagree with me vehemently but get rid of the boxes! Yeah, I said it. Ok, I ain't gonna hate y'all or nothing if you don't but that is my suggestion from all of the reading up on this matter that I have done.  Here is why:

Be like Arnold, LOVE your boots!

1. Boxes do not allow the boots to breathe and that is NOT good for the leather, it is even worse and I mean really bad for the boots to keep them in the plastic sleeves and in the box. Don't y'all think if they are in a box that they are dust free and care free. They still need care and conditioning if they are in a box or on the shelf.
 

This is for storing in the warehouse, not your house!

       
        1a. If you live in a humid area, this can be catastrophic and can cause mold! It will straight ruin           your investment Babes.
        1b. The box and the bag don't let ENOUGH humidity to the boots and air to circulate around               them so this can also cause cracking of the leather.

WITH HUMIDITY, you want it just right, not too dry, not too damp just like for us!

These bags are not your boots friend when they get home!

If you don't believe me, ask the hand bag gals! Cardboard boxes are not your luxury items friends!

2. IF and it is a BIG if, but if there is a leak that you do not know about, the box gets wet somehow, and if the boots are in the box, it will ruin the snot out of your boots because the dye from the box will leech into your boots. The cardboard can stick to them and make cracking worse.  This comes from a TRUE story of a Babe that kept hers in the finished basement closet, assumed they were "safe" in the boxes, there was an unknown leak that caused her to lose some boots, shoes, and designer bags.  Now, I can't say another method would have saved everything but the mold that grew upward was fed by the cardboard.

3. Boxes DO attract bugs and rodents.  They love the stuff. Keep this in mind if you keep the boxes separately but take the boots out.  This is pretty much a hard core fact from what I can tell.  It has to do with the glue and some other factors but it ain't good y'all!

4. Boxes keep you from remembering what you have, from appreciating your collection, and if they are boxed away you forget they need conditioning, even if they are not being worn. the leather needs conditioning like your own skin needs lotion. LOVE YOUR BOOTS BABES!

Boot Babes, if we see it, it sparks an I need to wear that sexy thang with this sexy thang so I can BE a super sexy thang!  Pinkie promise y'all! Having them on display is the best thing you can do. Behind glass or on shelves, either is fine! Just take the time to dust and condition them as you should anyway.

Light ain't your boot's friend Boot Babes! Enjoy the sun but keep your boots out of it.  So, if you can't fit them in your closet or if your closet has windows, get some good blinds to keep the light out.  This will help uneven fading and the degrading of glue for your crystals.

Y'all may think I am a loon for sayin' that our boots should not completely  touch one another if they are on shelves. Here is why! Once upon a time, this ole Boot Babe was in a store. A BIG BOOT store. Maybe it was more like a BARN and there was a purdy pair of boots plopped onto the pair beside of them. Well, wouldn'tcha know it, the dark part of the one pair HAD BLED color onto the light pair beside of them.  This is especially true with softer leathers like suede and such but y'all it can happen to just about any pair.  Keep this in mind when placing boots for storage!

I know, I know. Boots are a lot of work but they are so worth it Boot Babes.  It would be great if we could all get custom closets for our boots but I know that ain't in the cards for all of us.  What I do suggest is to get creative! Find shelving that works in your closet, boot room, or whatever space you have dedicated to being YOUR personal boot store and style it up real pretty! Build it or buy it, find what works for y'all but keep to these other storage tips and your boots will be lovin' you back for years to come! I mean really y'all, do you want to walking into your personal BOOT STORE or warehouse?  The back room of the store is not what we truly love Boot Babes, it is the STORE!

Date nights, boots right?

Boot Babes, there is dang sure not many things dreamier than a date where the main event is a long slow walk down the boot aisle when he says pick anything you want.  Well, that is what I would call a dream come true and most of the time that just ain't real life most of the time.  So, Boot Babes, I will tell you what real life is and give y'all a little run down of what I reckon the best dates to wear your boots on are.  

5. Sporting events!

Football, baseball, you name it, boots are the answer! Boots and shorts or sundresses and of course boots and jeans in the fall and winter make the prefect combo to wear on your sporty date! It don't matter if it is high school college, or pro, the Astros, Rangers, Braves, Red Raiders, Longhorns, or Panthers, you can show your team spirit, show off your boots, and be sitting pretty when your date night is to a game!

4. Concerts!

No matter what the genre, boots are what fits in at concerts! They are cool looking, comfortable, and protect your piggies from careless drunks!  Personally, I think Red Dirt and boots go together like sweet tea and BBQ, but your boots and your music makes a date night to enjoy live music sing! Even better is if you can get to a music festival in your boots, THAT RIGHT THERE IS WHERE IT IS AT Y'ALL!

3. Work!

Yeah Boot Babes, there is little that is more satisfying than a date to the hardware store, sale barn, or feed store and putting in a day of hard work. I know it might not sound romantic, but the couples that work together in their boots know how to make the most of their time together. Sometimes this is all the time we get, so Babes, make it count. If  this is you, you know that any time is date time and you will have quality time and a finished task to be thankful for when the day is done! Hey, working for your boot money with your honey is always better than just a trip to town any day!

2. Whirlin' and Twirling!

Boot scootin' board bustin' dance hall and honky tonkin' nights Boot Babes!  Yes ma'am. That is a date that demands boots and one where the more you love your boots, the better you will move! I can guarantee that! Boots were made for gliding us across a floor and we darn sure know how to do that in style. That is why danicin' is nearly the best boot date there is!


1. The Rodeo!

In honor of our Boot Babes in Houston at the rodeo, this is for y'all! I know,  I know, RODEO is a sport but rodeo is in a league of it's own.  There ain't too many more appropriate atmospheres to wear your boots and cutest rodeo attire or your every day look for us Boot Babes!  Big time or small town, rodeos and boots were made for each other.

Meet Mayra, the Sexiest Boot on the Planet!

Mayra, Mayra Mayra!  That is how The Boot Babe feels about this iconic boot from Old Gringo. There really is not another boot out there like her or with her good looks and HOT DAMN attitude!  Let me tell you a little about this gal and then y'all need to see how great she looks on a variety of outfits and people. I know y'all can't tell how spiffy a good lookin' boot is until you see it on some legs Babes. 

Mayra is a classic. I can't tell y'all when the good folks at Old Gringo brought the Mayra into our lives but she's been hanging around showing her stuff as long as I can recall. This is because she has the classic look and embroidery that everyone loves with the most perfect toe bug ever! The toe bug is the embroidery on the toe y'all. It's elongated and so dang perfect on Mayra! Now some may not have this like the crystal ones and some of the others but on the classic snip version it sure is there and it is about my favorite part of the Mayra. 

Mayra is long and tall and lean!   Oh yes. She is 18 inches of tall leather sexiness. That is from the tallest part babes. From the V in the front it is about 15 inches long I reckon.  Now, don't be skeert that they will be too tall! Tall Babes, whooooo weeee THERE IS NO QUESTION YOU NEED THIS BOOT ON YOUR LEGS but shorter Babes can rock them too. The tip top might hit the middle to top of y'all's knees but y'all can still walk in them and they will make your legs look longer! Mayra fits sung as a bug in a rug through in the shaft but she is supposed to! She will conform to you and be your best dang friend! You just have to get to know her and put some work in. Mayra will be worth it in the end.  

So you get a classic boot with a long tall shaft with Mayra and that means she will go with anything and everything!  Skirts, shorts, leggings, jeans, dresses YOU NAME IT and Mayra works! She works in place of a riding boot or a 13 inch cowgirl boot because y'all, Mayra does it all!  

As far as fit, with a tighter shaft going up a boot size DOES indeed make the shaft a tiny smidge bigger.  This said, you can stick with your size especially if you have smaller legs.  If you think you want a touch and I mean just a touch more room, you can go up a 1/2 size and get an insert for the footbed.  Stretching might be necessary because the shaft of the Mayra is about 13.5 inches! I know gals that have stretched to about 16 inches or so. You can stretch Mayra at home but if you are concerned, leave it to a professional!  Babes with little legs, rejoice and sing all the praise because this boot is all you ever dreamed of!

Getting Mayra off and on takes a little finesse. This ain't to steer y'all away Babes, but just know that tighter shafts and tall boots take work and with time this gets easier. I believe in full disclosure Boot Babes!  There is a side zipper at the ankle but rotating your ankle to get them on does work the best. It's like rollin' your ankle in a circle to inch the boot up.   Rolling also helps to get boots like the Mayra off because the ankle/throat of the boot can be a little hard to maneuver if you ain't quite familiar with Miss Mayra and her witchy ways.
